Trainee TV Test Operator

Working with the latest in Smart TV technology the Trainee TV Test Operator will be responsible for manually testing the software with the television set. Under the guidance of a Test Engineer the role involves the following:

• Setting up the required environment including the TV set, any signal sources, the internet connection and any specialist test equipment.
• Running of the test as specified by the Test Engineer.
• Reporting the results in the test tool and being able to articulate the nature of the failure is there is one.

A methodical approach to work and a keen eye for attention to detail are essential. Having experience of working within a testing environment and bug tracking tools (Jira, etc.) is desirable. A general understanding of release, version, software download/upgrade would be ideal.

The role would suit somebody educated to degree/HNC level in a science/technology-based subject.

This role is supported by the government Kickstart Scheme and is only open to applicants aged between 18 – 24 and who are currently claiming Universal Credit. We cannot accept direct applicants for this and interested candidates must apply via their DWP Work Coach.
